SAIGON – CU CHI– SA DEC –CAN THO –  HOI AN – MY SON – HUE – HANOI  –MAICHAU– NINH BINH – HALONG

DAY 1: SAIGON

Arrive at the Tan Son Nhat airport. Greeting and transfer to hotel. Leisure time

DAY2: SAIGON –CU CHI– City tour

In the early morning, drive to Cu Chi, a former sanctuary of the Vietnamese revolution during the Vietnam war.

Visit the Reunification Palace, formerly the site of South Vietnam presidential palace , the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, the  Ben Thanh market, China town and Thien Hau pagoda.

DAY 3: SAIGON/ SA DEC/ CAN THO

In the morning, departure for Mekong Delta, visit the Huynh Thuy Le ancient house (the house in the romantic film L’amant (The Lover), Kien An Cung pagoda in Sa Dec. Drive to Can Tho and overnight in Can Tho

DAY 4: CAN THO / SAIGON

In the early morning, take a traditional canal tour boat to visit the Cai Rang floating market. You will see hundreds of vessels flocking to this area to sell their agricultural products. Visit Binh Thuy Ancient house which was chosen as one of the recording sites for the film L’amant.  Drive back to Saigon.

DAY 5: SAIGON / DA NANG / HOI AN

Transfer to airport for  a flight to Da Nang. Greeting and transfer to Hoi An. Stopover to visit the Cham Museum with its amazing collection of ancient artifacts, the Marble Mountains which are said to represent the five elements of the universe: water, wood, fire, metal and earth.

DAY 6: HOI AN / MY SON / HOI AN

The Cham are best known for many brick sanctuaries (Cham towers). My Son is recognized as a world heritage by UNESCO.

Visit Hoi An ancient town known as Faifo, an early western trade center. It was one of South-East Asia’s major international ports during the 17th century. Japanese covered bridge was constructed in 1593 by Japanese community of Hoi An to link them with the Chinese quarters across the stream. Fukian Chinese temple is used to worship Thien Hau, the Holy mother who gave birth to China. Phung Hung ancient house, 300 years old, represents the combined architecture of Japanese and Chinese.  The Historical museum has a fine collection of artifacts of the Champa civilization.

DAY 7: HOIAN / HUE

Visit a stone carving village on the way to Hue via Hai Van pass (cloudy pass).  Stop over at the Lang Co beach. Visit the Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba market.

DAY8: HUE- HANOI

Boat excursion on the Huong river (Perfume river) to visit Thien Mu pagoda, Visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh mausoleums. and a local house producing Vietnamese conical hats.

Transfer to airport for flight to Hanoi.

DAY 9: HANOI

Visit the mausoleum of President Ho and his residence, the one-pillar pagoda, the Hoan Kiem lake and Ngoc Son temple, the Temple of Literature regarded as the first university of Vietnam, the Museum of Ethnology, the West lake and Tran Quoc pagoda.

Visit to the old quarters of Hanoi and see a water puppet show.

DAY 10: HANOI/ MAI CHAU

In the morning, drive to Mai Chau. Arrival and check in.Trek around villages of the Thai ethnic minority. Evening: Attending a Thai traditional dancing show.

DAY 11: MAI CHAU / NINH BINH

After a wonderful night, continue the way to Ninh Binh and visit Hoa Lu, an ancient capital, which offers some historical treasures. Visit the temples of kings Dinh & Le and then be rowed through limestone mountains known as “Halong on land” to visit Tam Coc caves.

DAY 12: NINH BINH / HALONG

In the morning, departure for Halong Bay, one of the natural marvels of Vietnam with more than 3,000 islands rising from the clear, emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Visit en route of the Keo pagoda in Thai Binh, embarkation at noon.

DAY 13: HALONG / HANOI

Continue the excursion in Ha Long bay. Visit the Heaven cave and the Titov Island. Disembarkation at noon, drive back to Hanoi.

DAY 14: HANOI

Free for shopping. Transfer to the Noi Bai airport for departure.
